Field Trial Training Programs :


We believe training starts with the very first contact in a puppyʼs life, and continues throughout their adult life. Every contact a puppy has is formulating the adult dog-to-be,
so every contact we have with our puppies and our dogs is directed at developing the best retriever we can. We break down every lesson into the smallest increments. We
teach and reinforce every command, teach how to escape pressure by responding to a command and to avoid pressure by complying with a command quickly, before pressure
begins.

There are several distinct stages of development for a retriever to become the best he can be. These are:

1. Puppy development 5. Qualifying
2. Basics 6. All-Age
3. Transition 7. National
4. Derby 8. Aging Field Champions


Each stage has two sides, a structured side and a field work side. The amount of time spent on one side or the other will be constantly changing throughout a dogʼs life and
also change from dog to dog. Here is a learning outline for basics and transition:
